Learning faster, optimising sooner
When you first connect a heat pump to Kapacity, our system needs to understand how your specific device and home respond to different conditions. Until now, this learning period took six hours before optimisation could begin.
We've now reduced this to just one hour. Our algorithms have become sophisticated enough to understand your heating patterns much faster. We've also eliminated ongoing learning periods entirely – once your system is set up, it simply works.
This means new devices start saving you money almost immediately after connection.
Supporting more homes across Europe
Danish customers can now connect Vølund and Metrotherm heat pumps to the platform, expanding our coverage of popular Danish heat pump brands.
We've also launched in Latvia and Lithuania, bringing our optimisation technology to more homes across the Baltic region.
Partnering with energy retailers
Finnish customers now have a new way to access our technology through Väre Energy's Smart Savings Contract (Älysäästösopimus). This partnership combines the security of fixed electricity pricing with automatic heating optimisation – removing the complexity while keeping the savings.
Preparing for faster markets
European electricity markets are evolving towards more dynamic pricing. Starting 1 October, many markets will shift from hourly to 15-minute price intervals. We're ready for this change and will begin supporting 15-minute optimisation, allowing even more precise timing of your heating to capture the best prices.
The result is a system that works harder for you while requiring less attention from you.
